Learners that requires the use of their ears to gain and understand information are considered auditory learners. Auditory learners learn best from detailed explanations and outlined instructions. Most auditory learners also learn best from written directions or information.

Kinesthetic Learners

Some learners learn better when they are able to touch and feel the movement of things. These types of learners are kinesthetic learners. Kinesthetic learners learn best when their environment helps them absorb information and they are able to handle things hands-on. Kinesthetic learners love to engage in experiments and other lesson plans that allows them to engage in learning hands on.

Active and Reflective Learners

Once the learner has learned the information they will become either an active of reflective learner. Active learners take the information and start using it right away, while reflective learners will process the information and use it at a later date.  Active and reflective learners can be auditory, visual or kinesthetic learners.

Knowing what type of learner you are in the classroom will help you learn at a quicker pace.
